Accessibility

In keeping with our mission to increase access to Somali culture for all Minnesotans, The Somali Museum embraces the spirit of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and is committed to assuring that all members of our community can participate as fully as possible in our arts events, programs, meetings, facilities and communications.

The Museum is accessible for wheelchairs, with an elevator and ramps to gallery rooms.  The building front doors do not have push buttons, but Access Coordinator will assist you in gaining access to the building.  Please call 651-468-4484 for immediate access during our open hours.

All visitors receive a spoken tour of the gallery, and visitors with visual impairment can request additional descriptive support.  If you need special accommodations to visit, please contact Abdirahman Hassan at somalimuseum.mn@gmail.com or 612-234-1625.
