The Somali Museum of Minnesota is one of the museums in the world devoted to preserving and advancing Somali culture and art. It is the home of Somali creativity in North America. As a unique institution in Minnesota, the Somali Museum uses Somali art as a tool to build community connections: between Somali-American youth and older generations and between Somalis and non-Somalis learning about Somali culture for the first time.
