The Somali Museum is proud to host "Buraanbur Night," an evening dedicated to honoring our Somali women elders. This event celebrates the enduring legacy of our master weavers—Ardho Ismail, Amina Shire, Xalwo Duale, and Hawa Aden—whose dedication to our longest-standing initiative, the Weaving Demonstration and Workshop program, preserves vital aspects of our nomadic heritage. Their contributions to Somali arts and culture will be celebrated through a vibrant program of buraanbur, poetry, and diverse cultural performances.
